Version 17.1 delivers one new feature, along with numerous usability enhancements and bug fixes.
• NEW - Library - Custom Artwork - can now override default artwork displayed for genres, artists, albums, etc - "Artwork" option on long press menus - custom art stored under the Documents folder in "_btramp/art"
• FIXED - Player Engine - crossfade and gapless playback of songs of varying sample rates (44.1 kHz vs 96 kHz) now works by resampling to a common sample rate
• NEW - Settings - Player - "Resampling Mode" option to control resampling to a common sample rate
• NEW - Settings - Player - options for visibility of full screen Player's favorite and rating buttons
• FIXED - Settings - Player - re-enabled the options for visibility of lock screen Control Center like/dislike buttons
• NEW - CarPlay - "Add To Playlist" now available on the Now Playing screen "More Actions" menu
• NEW - Documents - Edit File Metadata - "sort order" text fields now immediately follow their corresponding "display" text fields

Version 17.0 delivers major enhancements to library management, along with numerous usability enhancements and bug fixes.
• NEW - Library - Item Lists - Featured screen and tabs are now fully configurable (style, size, width, spacing, etc)
• NEW - Library - Item Lists - Featured - add/remove/re-order sections
• NEW - Library - Item Lists - Item Specific Lists (i.e., "Hard Rock Albums", "Pop Artists", etc)
• NEW - Library - Item Lists - Playback - added a new menu/swipe option for "Play After Current Album" that inserts the selected item after the last song of the current album's set of songs, but before any others in the play queue
• NEW - Library - Tabs - can now hide unwanted tabs - long-press on the bottom tab bar
• NEW - CarPlay - Featured tab - now mirrors the Featured screen in the main app
• NEW - CarPlay - Now Playing screen - added an option to the "more menu" to mark the current song's album as a favorite (in addition to being able to favorite the current song itself)
• NEW - Settings - Auto-Lock - added a new setting under Settings/Interface for specifying the desired iOS Auto-Lock mode - options include: Automatic, When Charging, When Playing (or charging), and Always - this indicates when BTR AMP overrides the iOS setting, allowing you to keep the screen unlocked beyond what you have iOS configured to do
• FIXED - Player Engine - fixed issue where playback was not restarting after receiving or making a phone call
• FIXED - Player Engine - Crossfade - when in single song repeat mode, the song now properly crossfades into itself instead of ending and restarting at the beginning of the crossfade duration
• FIXED - Player Engine/Screen - fixed issue where after scrubbing the audio would stutter and/or repeat
• FIXED - Library - Scanning - Full Scan now properly removes songs in the database whose audio file no longer exists
• FIXED - Connect - SMB Client - fixed issue with AutoSync Jobs where the server had a share, yet the share name was also being treated as the root path - if you have a problem with a AutoSync Job, delete and recreate it and it should now work

• Library - Songs - "Edit" menu item is now available for all songs, but in read-only mode for non-editable ones such as iTunes Library songs
• Library - Tabs - a long-press on the bottom tab bar displays the Tab Manager
• CarPlay - popup alerts now disappear after 5 seconds
• Settings - Interface - added a setting for selecting from 12 different Codec Info Separator Styles
• Settings - Interface - added a setting for selecting from 3 different Artist Display Styles

Version 16.1 includes:
• CarPlay - Now Playing Screen - changed the middle "is favorite" button to a "more" button that takes you to another screen where both "Is Favorite" and the "Start Rating" can be set
• Documents - added a "Remount" action in the menu for external locations - this can be used to reconnect the external location to BTR AMP without the need to delete the location (and the song records, playlists, etc)
• Player Screen - Mixer - added + and - buttons to the equalizer bands for more precisely adjusting the settings
• Player Screen - iPad - re-enabled the view queue and mixer buttons and implemented toggling of the display of those sections
• Settings - Interface - added a new, separate option for controlling the display of codec information on the player screen
• Various usability enhancements and bug fixes

• Connect - WebDAV client - download and upload directly to/from WebDAV servers from BTR AMP including setting up Sync Jobs
• Connect - AutoSync - added two new Sync Types: "Download Missing" (only overwrites existing files when size is different) and "Download All" (always overwrite existing files)
• Connect - AutoSync - tweaked existing Sync Type "Download New" (only overwrite existing files when modified date is newer on source)
• Connect - Sync Job History - fixed issue where background was black
• Connect - Google Drive - fixed issue when uploading of files from outside of the Documents tab resulted in files being arbitrarily dumped in the root folder
• Library - MP3 files - fixed issue where ID3v2.4 tags were failing to be read

• Player Screen - Cover Art - swipe left or right to play the next or previous song - tap/short-press now executes play or pause
• Play Queue Screen - always on re-ordering
• Library - auto-switch to the Player Screen when something is selected to Play Now - new setting to enable/disable
NOTE - CarPlay restrictions limit navigation deeper than 5 levels. Folders that will exceed that depth limitation are not navigable via the new CarPlay Documents tab.

Version 13.2 introduces the concept of Maximum Play Queue Size. While the only limitation on the size of your BTR AMP audio LIBRARY is the amount of storage on your device, it turns out that there is a practical limit to the size of the PLAY QUEUE. This became even more evident in v13.0 when comprehensive support for iTunes Library heavy users was implemented. As such, v13.2 introduces a new option under Settings/Player named "Play Queue - Maximum Song Count", defaulting to 500 tracks (~25 hours worth of 3 minute songs), and with a configurable range of 100-2000. Thanks to the user who loaded their 40,000 song iTunes Library into BTR AMP for bringing this issue to our attention!

- Player Screen - long press context menu now has options for the style of display of the cover art (framed, fitted, and filled)
- CarPlay - Album List under grouping (Artist, Genre, Composer) - sort order now mirrors similar sort order in main app
BUG FIXES
- Featured - fixed random crash in layout engine
- iTunes Library Scanner - fixed crash when importing some playlists - some users were experiencing this upon initial launch of the app and scanning of their iTunes Library
- iTunes Library Scanner - fixed random crash during auto-scan for some users with iPhone XS
- Audio Engine - Crossfade - fixed crash when crossfading songs with different sample rates or channel counts

- iOS Music App Playback Mode Setting - DRM/CLOUD support is no longer experimental - auto-filters songs per the current setting - see Settings/Player for details
- Audio Engine - Volume Normalization - ReplayGain and Sound Check support, along with a "user" volume adjustment override
- Audio Mixer Screen - renamed Equalizer to include the volume normalization feedback and controls
- DocMgmt - Menu - Rescan - rescan individual file(s) or folder(s)
- LibMgmt - Songs - star ratings and comments - read from metadata - Smart Playlist Rules can use these
- LibMgmt - Hearts - moved to the "info/code" subtitle line - added context menus for setting/unsetting
- LibMgmt - Tags - moved to the "info/codec" subtitle line
- LibMgmt - Songs - Is Explicit, Play Count, Star Ratings - display in the "info/codec" subtitle line
- LibMgmt - Featured - now square cover art - new top right menu to specify the size of the cover art (large, medium, small, and x-small)
- Player Screen - square cover art, landscape mode, and dynamic font resizing
- Smart Playlists - "Random X Items" - limit playlists to a random set of X songs matching the rules - "smart" alternative to shuffling a play queue of thousands of songs
- Settings - Interface - "Display Cover Art In Lists" - disable loading cover art in lists if scrolling is sluggish on your device
